Drag to orbit · flip under for the hex pockets

Pitch 24.8 mm is tight (fuse body is 19 mm). Tighten one nut at a time; drop a way if you want wrench room.

Drill plan

Punch through the plastic, then drill the copper off the holder so the hex pockets stay clean. Bolts come up from below.

  1. 01

2 mm stock is electrically fine (88 mm²) but floppy — the holder web carries the clamp load.

  2. 02

Print with the underside on the bed so the hex pockets open onto the plate.

  3. 03

Punch or spot-drill the copper through the plastic, then drill the bar off the holder so you don't chew the holes.

  4. 04

PETG, ABS/ASA or nylon — not PLA. 4+ perimeters, ≥40% infill.

  5. 05

    Common MEGA: 32 V DC, 2000 A interrupt. 58 V / 1000 A parts exist for 48 V — read the stamp. DC only, not a Class-T.

  6. 06

M8 spec is ~12 N·m. Recheck after the first heat cycle — the clamp web creeps, and a loose nut is a hot joint.

  7. 07

A Belleville (disc spring) washer under the nut, against the copper or fuse pad — not a split lock washer. It stores clamp as the print creeps. Keep the pad-to-copper stack metal-to-metal.
